GREEN BUILDING & DESIGN SUMMER INSTITUTE

Have an interest in the environment and sustainability? Construction? Design? Engineering? Then this program is for you! Over the course of two weeks, this cost-free program will explore the basics of green buildings, design, and construction in the Pittsburgh region. Through workshops, guest speakers, and field trips, you will explore all aspects of this new and exciting field.

• Fundamentals of sustainability

• Building design and construction

• Energy conservation and efficiency

• Career readiness

• Digital communication, content creation, and publication

You will have the opportunity to work with students, faculty, and staff at Washington & Jefferson College as well as business professionals, government officials, and nonprofit leaders. 

​

The program will be hosted at Washington & Jefferson College in Washington, PA. Lunch will be provided free of charge to program participants. 

​

Families are responsible for transportation to and from the program each day.
