Renewables Top Coal as Global Electricity Source
For the first time, renewable sources of energy generated more electricity across the globe than coal during the first half of 2025, a new study found. Westinghouse Partnership to Accelerate Nuclear Power
The U.S. government is entering into an $80 billion partnership with Westinghouse to accelerate the construction of new reactors across the country in order to meet increasing energy demand from AI and data center developers. Electric Heating Growing in Popularity
A growing number of U.S. homes are being heated with electricity, reflecting trends in technology and policy and shifts in where people are choosing to live. A recent U.S. Energy Information Administration analysis  found that 42% of households were using electricity as their main heating fuel in 2024, up from 35% in 2010. Gas Well Setback Legislation Again Introduced
Legislation to increase the required setback distances between unconventional gas wells and buildings was recently introduced in the state House.
