Join Us For The PA Energy Ecosystem Conference

Updated: Aug 22

The energy landscape in Pennsylvania is rapidly evolving as rising demand for electricity, rapid growth in data center development, and major policy shifts converge. Join us on Oct. 21 as we talk with government and industry leaders about what these trends mean for our energy-rich state and how a number of energy sources can contribute to meeting the challenges and opportunities ahead. Registration is now open here.

The Pennsylvania Energy Ecosystem Conference on Oct. 21, hosted by W&J College’s Center for Energy Policy and Management in conjunction with the Central Appalachian Partnership for Carbon Storage Deployment, will feature industry leaders, policymakers, and other experts. This free conference will explore changes in the state’s energy landscape and policy, rapid growth in development of power-hungry data centers and the effects on the region’s natural gas and coal industries. The afternoon session will feature a Central Appalachian Partnership fireside chat with a number of experts on the role of carbon storage deployment, with time for discussion.

The conference will also explore how several emerging technologies, including geothermal and distributed energy sources, can help meet Pennsylvania’s increasing energy needs.

Attendees will have the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions and network with professionals working in energy, economic development, and carbon sequestration and learn more about the coming energy trends in the state.

The conference, at the Yost Auditorium in the Burnett Center on the W&J campus, will begin at 8 a.m. with a networking breakfast and continue until 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
