SAVE THE DATE: Oct. 20 New Horizons Conference

The next decade will reshape the places where we live and work in the Pittsburgh region.

Rapid growth in data and artificial intelligence, rising energy demand, aging infrastructure, new technologies, and changing patterns of development are creating challenges, and opportunities that will require new thinking across sectors.

The “New Horizons: Infrastructure, Energy, and Data in the Coming Decade” conference on Oct. 20 will bring together leaders from government, industry, higher education, utilities, engineering, economic development, and communities to explore the infrastructure decisions that will define the coming decade.

Hosted by the Center for Energy and the Built Environment at W&J College, the keynote address will be given by Christina Cassotis, Chief Executive Officer of the Allegheny County Airport Authority. The conference will also feature panel discussions exploring regional development, infrastructure challenges, data center growth, and rising energy demand.

Join us for a morning of conversation about what we build, how we power it, how we pay for it, and how we prepare our communities for what comes next. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Doubletree by Hilton Washington Meadowlands, 340 Racetrack Road, Washington. The event is free and open to the public.

Full program and registration information will be coming soon.
