Speakers Set for PA Energy Ecosystem Conference

The speaker lineup is set for the Pennsylvania Energy Ecosystem Conference on Oct. 21, hosted by the Center for Energy Policy and Management at Washington & Jefferson College.


Plan to join us for this free day-long event that will discuss the evolving energy landscape in the state as rising demand for electricity, rapid growth in data center development, and major policy shifts converge. Registration is now open by visiting wjenergy.org/energyecosystem2025.

The conference, co-hosted the Central Appalachian Partnership for Carbon Storage Deployment, will explore changes in the state’s energy landscape and policy, rapid growth in development of power-hungry data centers and the effects on the region’s natural gas and coal industries. The afternoon session will feature a fireside chat with a number of experts on the role of carbon storage deployment, with time for discussion. Several emerging technologies, including geothermal and distributed energy sources, that can help meet Pennsylvania’s increasing energy needs will also be discussed. The conference, at Yost Auditorium in the Burnett Center on the W&J campus, will begin at 8 a.m. with a networking breakfast and continue until 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
